Bridge Classic Cars is honoured to offer for sale this 1905 Riley 9hp project. Believed to be just one of three cars still in existence and 1 of just 2 in private hands. We have recently been informed by a reliable source that this could, in fact, be a prototype for the first car to have fully removable wheels. The bench seat and other unique features strongly suggest that this is the case.
This very early example of British automotive engineering is being presented for sale as a completed restoration. The project is being done to original specifications which Bridge Classic Cars has managed to research and find, so our in-house restoration experts can produce an end result as close to original specification as possible using as many original/period parts as are available.
The sale of this car involves the full and complete restoration of the car from the ground up from our highly experienced and skilled restoration technicians in our Suffolk workshop.
The vehicle has been completely stripped back to its most basic components, while a detailed assessment and report on the condition of each of the components have been inspected and analysed by the team at Bridge Classic Cars has been carried out.
As mentioned before, the listing of this sale is for the completion of this car by its restoration and once finished would be eligible for several antique/vintage car rallies across the UK as well as being almost guaranteed to draw a crowd wherever it goes.
This remarkable and fascinating car is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own and drive a unique and incredible piece of British motoring history.
