Since it’s inception in the 1940s, the Land Rover performed its role as a dependable workhorse for decades while growing its status as an automotive icon – beginning with the Series 1.
Bridge Classic Cars Competitions wants to give you the chance to win one of these simple but extraordinary machines with this, our 1953 Land Rover Series 1.
Finished in the classic Land Rover Green, with matching 3-seater bench, our 1953 Land Rover was subject to a restoration in 2016-2017 by Fisher Restorations to bring this beautiful classic offroader to the standard you see it today.
Fitted with a 2-litre petrol engine, 4-speed manual gearbox with mechanical transfer case and an 86-inch wheelbase, our Series 1 is where the rugged engineering reputation of Land Rover began. The car also comes with both the canvas roof (and framework) as well as a refinished optional hardtop.
Included in the vehicles history file are previous MOT certificates dating back to the late 1980s, its subscription to the Land Rover Series One Club and a host of invoices relating to both the restoration and the cars maintenance by Fylde L.R Services in the early 2000s.
