This car has been acquired by Bridge Classic Cars due to a bereavement which caused this project to be unfinished by its previous owner. This project is sold as a full and complete concours restoration carried out by Bridge Classic Cars.
The XK120 was the height of British engineering at its launch in the late 1940s and this is an incredible opportunity to own such an iconic British sports car.
This car is a non-numbers matching XK120 but has been fitted with a correct 3.4 litre straight-six and comes with both the standard flat bonnet as well as a replacement louvred bonnet.

Body and Paint
The car will be completed as per the original factory specification unless a different combination is specified by the new owner. The car will be fitted with a completely refurbished tub with the work being carried out by renowned Jaguar XK specialists prior to Bridge Classic Cars carrying out the ongoing restorative work.
Underside
The car’s chassis has been completely overhauled and is in as new condition. It will be painted and in rolling condition before being married to the body prior to paint application.
A correct form stainless steel exhaust system will be manufactured.
The complete braking system will be overhauled and renewed with new parts where applicable.
All steering components will be overhauled or renewed as necessary.
All front suspension bushes will be replaced with new.
Running Gear
All the running gear will be overhauled as necessary and painted in gloss black
Interior
All the leather will be renewed in the correct colour combination.
New chrome buckle seat belts will be fitted.
Carpets will be manufactured and fitted.
All door, boot rubbers throughout will be renewed.
All Interior chrome will be re-chromed where necessary.
All alloy door posts and steps will be replaced.
The steering wheel will be inspected and refurbished as necessary.
Engine/Gearbox
The entire engine will be rebuilt taking into consideration modern upgrades that will help in modern day traffic.
An unleaded conversion and electronic ignition will be installed.
The gearbox will be stripped, inspected and rebuilt as necessary.
Wheels and Tyres
Brand new period correct tyres will be fitted to the vehicle prior to the final hand over.
Exterior Chrome
All the chrome work will be inspected and re-plated as necessary
Electrical
A new Dynamator will be installed to replace the dated dynamo.
All dials will be refurbished where necessary prior to refitting.
The car will be fitted with a new wiring loom.
The car is priced at £150,000 for a completed, factory-specification restoration. Any upgrades or modifications can be discussed; such as colour change, right-hand drive conversion (although this decision will have to be made very quickly), power-assisted steering, engine work and suspension upgrades etc. All upgrade suggestions can be factored into the restoration throughout the process.
