The word barn find is often banded about but is seldom true.
Bridge Classic Cars were given the opportunity to view two classic Jensens that were for sale, and numerous other cars that may come to market in the very near future, due to bereavement.
Offered today is this 1964 Jensen CV8 that is sold ‘as is’ or the car can be restored on behalf of the buyer if required.
Bridge Classic Cars is well-known for being one of the market leaders in the restoration of the for-runners of the CV8 – the 541, 541R and 541S.
After careful consideration about this particular car, we have decided to let all of the parts that we got with the car to go as one job-lot. There is far in excess of parts for one single car, as seen in the supplied photographs.
The bodyshell is in excellent condition. We have not inspected the chassis but as with all the 541 derivatives we would expect rust to be present within the tubular chassis.
There is no engine in the car, but as seen there is 2 separate V8 engine blocks and would not be surprised if one of those blocks is the original block from the car but assume it isn’t.
The V5 will have to applied for but there is a letter from the DVLA verifying the registration number of 444PE, which we believe will be transferrable, and has a value by itself.
We believe here at Bridge, that pictures say a thousand words. We do have more pictures but we do not have the time to be answering all emails and messages asking for more information.
The vehicle can be viewed by appointment only but we cannot guarantee that we will have ramps etc for closer inspection. Also please note the vehicle can only be viewed between Tuesday and Friday 8am to 4pm.
Anybody who knows these cars will know that they command a strong market value when restored and we are realistic in the valuation on what you see today.
Offers will not be considered from anybody who has not viewed the car and no individual parts will be sold separately.
