If there’s one classic car that triggers feelings of nostalgia more than most, it’s the Ford Cortina. Trying to find someone who hasn’t owned one, or at least known someone that has owned one in the past will likely be quite a challenge.
Our 1966 Ford Cortina GT 1500 has been painted in the legendary Alan Mann Racing red and gold colours. The vehicle is in good condition and has clearly been well looked after by previous owners. New door cards have been fitted by the Bridge Classic Cars Trim Shop and the car comes with lotus steel wheels. Our Cortina comes with the original registration book, first stamped on 9th February 1966 and service/maintenance paperwork dating back to 2009.
The Ford Cortina was one of the most popular cars in the UK throughout the 1970s and into the early 1980s. Even now, it’s hard for many people to talk about their experiences with these cars without having a big smile on their face.
Sitting behind the wheel of our 1966 Ford Cortina GT 1500 will bring back memories of past road trips, memories of former driving experiences, and the anticipation of many more drives still to come. Even if you haven’t owned one before, the excitement this car generates simply by being around it truly is what classic cars are all about.
