The Mini scene is a broad church of cultures, owners, models and even makes, but there are some derivatives that seem to be all but extinct. There are still a number of prized Cooper and Copper S models on the show circuit but the rarity of this wonderful 850 Super Deluxe makes this a very special find. Unlike many others, this one hasn’t been hotted up or given a duo tone paint scheme. Instead, it has been beautifully restored to original specification and painted in the factory shade of El Paso Beige. A Mini as good as this is normally seen in the factory brochure or a period TV sitcom!
Restored some 7 years ago by Ted Sparrow, owner of renowned Mini restoration specialist Team C (formerly East Anglian Mini Centre) the car has remained a show stopper ever since.
With only four owners, the first keeping it from Feb 69 until July 73. It then stayed in the same hands for a further five years, before passing to someone who went on to own the car for 27 years.
