Description

The Morris Traveller. A British Icon that has been at the heart of British motoring since its introduction in 1952. The Traveller name was given to a Morris Minor Estates. Known for their exposed rear wooden frames and the barn style door in the rear, the Traveller became as much a part of English life as it has done British car culture.

This particular Traveller is a 1971 Morris Traveller 1000. A very late car, as production of the Traveller officially ended in April 1971, with our wonderful bright green example being registered in February of that year.

This car comes with a history documenting the very best parts fitted, supplied by the most reputable Morris Minor parts stockists in the UK (Charles Ware’s of Bristol). It has mechanically been spared no expense documented by the history we have. Clean recent MOT’s from Carmarthen in Wales and Bury St Edmunds here in Suffolk show no advisories for this now 40 year old instantly recognisable classic. Also included in the files of the car is a host of specialist literature collected over its lifetime with its owners.

The care given to this lovely classic by its previous owners is reflected in the quality of its drive. This family friendly classic is an absolute joy to drive and even more of a joy to see. As you get into the matching green interior, the single centre gauge faces everyone in the car. With a single turn of the small key, the engine snaps into life with a happy rhythm. The long gearstick becomes the centre of your attention as you pull away, off into a world of adventures. After all, it is a Traveller. The rear barn doors make it massively practical for a classic.

Supported by a fabulous club community, these practical classics offer superb value for money to use and maintain.

This 1971 Morris Traveller 1000 is in fabulous, useable condition for its next very lucky owner to enjoy and adore for many years to come.
