Our most requested competition car to date, introducing our 1971 Triumph Stag 3.0 V8 MK I manual with overdrive.
Finished in Sienna with tan upholstery, our very early Stag is a 1971 build and number 868 to leave the production line.
It is very rare to find a Mk I still with all of its original early features. It has the correct Rostyle wheels, low back seats, original dashboard and brand new soft top.
Acquired by Bridge Classic Cars from renowned classic specialists Turn Two Classic, the car comes with only 3 owners from new, with the last two owners accounting for a combined 41 years. Owner two was a motor engineer who ran the car from 1980 to 2009, some 29 years.
It has just had a body restoration and a complete professional body shop repaint in its correct factory colour of Sienna brown.
The car comes complete with a large history folder containing bills, invoices and old mot’s dating back many years and the mileage is confirmed at just 92,000.
Over £3000 was spent in 2019 keeping the car in lovely order.
As with all of our competitions, the car will be delivered to the lucky winner on our own covered transportation. This Stag will receive a full 12 MOT. The engine starts on the button and runs tremendously smooth and quiet. Mated to the more desirable manual gearbox, the car is a joy to drive with the fantastic V8 burble and overdrive in third and fourth gears. The car does benefit from some subtle upgrades which improve the car. Full poly bushed suspension, uprated oversized radiator, kenlowe electric fan and an modern alternator conversion make this Stag an absolute pleasure to drive. An original owners handbook is also in the history file.
Early build cars of any model are now becoming very collectible and this is an ideal opportunity to obtain a first year production Stag. An opportunity that rarely offers itself to market.
We listened to your Stag calls and we have delivered you one of the rarest on the market today.
