Description

Spitfire. Its very name conjures up imagery of well dressed heroes doing battle in the name of Britain, of engineering and manufacturing mastery and unmatched technical skill, of near perfect handling characteristics and durability. It is of course, the Spitfire.

Finished in a vibrant, gorgeous red the car stands out from the crowd by a country mile. The contrasting deep, rich black accents and trim only go to complement and highlight the beauty and the quality of this incredible British sports car. With its low roof line and long, elegant features this car is unmistakable as a drivers car. The cabin envelopes the driver like a cockpit and the windscreen gives you the right field of view to perfectly place the car and focus on the next corner ahead of you.

The simple but stylish dash lays out all the information the driver will need with its red trimmed trim surrounding the classic black gauges with white markings. A signature of British sports cars since time began almost. The steering wheel, is small but allows for enough movement to handle point the long, flowing bonnet in the direction your adventure wishes you to travel. The angled 4 speed gearshift, is at the perfect height that when you need it to be there, it’s only a quick moment away from the sporty steering wheel. Perfect for the spirited driver down a B road on a spring morning.

The affordability and practicality of Spitfire ownership means this vehicle has a thriving enthusiast scene.

The condition of this 1972 Triumph Spitfire is exceptional. The paint appears vibrant in all lights and shades which is a testament to the cars previous owners. The black, fold on hood is in incredible condition with very little signs of use or any of the usual related cracks seen on the soft tops from this era. The bright work across the entire car and inside is also in a superb state and only goes to highlight and pay compliment to the elegant, sophisticated lines of the car.  The odometer reads just 73,934 miles.
