This late example of Austin’s ubiquitous ADO16, in MkIII 1300 1275cc form, was registered in April 1973 and is now showing 56,915 miles on its odometer, although this can’t be warranted from the available history. Four previous registered keepers are recorded on the V5C. There is no current MoT; as an historic vehicle, the Austin no longer requires one. Its last only expired in September 2021, having been undertaken the previous year at 56,667 miles. The car would benefit from some cosmetic attention now.
The paperwork folder runs to the V5C, two owner’s handbooks, British Leyland Passport to Service book, a Haynes manual and a British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate Trust dating letter. There’s also a handful of bills, an Earlpart catalogue, BMC 1100 workshop manual and a framed publicity shot. A spare key is included with the vehicle.
