Arriving at Bridge Classic Cars as a stalled restoration, we were left to complete the car, which included a total engine rebuild.
Finished in striking Aconite purple with a black interior, this colour combination makes the car really stand out from the crowd. As you can see from our images, both the body work and paint are in superb condition for a 49 year old vehicle. The interior bears signs of regular use but is a thoroughly enjoyable place to be.
Mechanically, the car is in lovely condition after a sympathetic overhaul by our workshops with no expense spared by the previous owner (invoices totalling considerable thousands of pounds) including a new clutch for the upgraded 5-speed gearbox, new wheels, electronic fans and a battery cut off switch. The total engine rebuild was completed and tested multiple times with our technicians. Bearing Brodie Brittain plaque on the slam panel, we can only assume that at some point in its history this V8 engine has passed through the legendary engine builders workshops.
The V8 is the most sought after of the MGB GT by enthusiasts for not only its supreme power but its fantastic handling. It was decided to fit new mini-lite wheels and brand new tyres to our MGB, however, the original wheels will also come with the car.
