The VW Golf GTi bought performance to the masses. With rock-solid engineering and reliability, combined with an iconic style and huge street presence – The Golf GTI set the benchmark for the everyday performance car.
Bridge Classic Cars Competitions wants to give you the chance of not just experiencing this icon but owning that sense of style and performance with the added bonus of letting the outside in with our 1986 Volkswagen Golf GTi Cabriolet.
Finished in its original shade of stunning L90E White with a matching white interior and roof, our Golf GTI strikes a pose wherever it goes. Along with its incredible bodywork and interior, the car has received some notable upgrades such as its BC Racing ‘BR’ Coilovers, striking polished lip BBS rims with black centres and period looking Blaupunkt stereo with Bluetooth connectivity.
Fitted with a 112BHP 1.8-litre 4-cylinder engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox, complete with ‘golfball’ shifter, our 1986 Golf GTI retains that now infamous original GTi feel.
The car comes with a history file with invoices dating back to 2012, including running gear work in 2019 and an aesthetic restoration (with some mechanical work) carried out by Beetle Werks in June of 2012. Also in the history file are original services books (with the cars original PDI stamped dated 21st of May 1986), workshop manuals and period promotional materials.
