TVR. A name synonymous with British sports cars from its earliest days in the late 1940s all the way to the modern day. The 1989 TVR S2 sits towards the midway point of the company’s history and this S2 is a beautiful example of the marque.
Amongst its peers of the time, the S2 is greatly overlooked and underappreciated as a classic. The 2.9 litre V6 generated nearly 170BHP and 180lb ft of torque to the rear wheels through a proper drivers 5 speed manual gearbox and was enough to take this 80’s mystery machine to nearly 140mph. As every TVR owner will tell you, from the second the engine barks into life, you’re hooked. This is one for the enthusiasts!
This particular S2 2.9 V6 was previously owned by a TVR loyalist and active member of the TVR enthusiast community with extensive history documenting its life with its devoted owner.
Recently in early 2021, the car was worked on where a new clutch master and slave cylinder were replaced along with the rear wheel cylinders and a given a complete brake fluid change with a bill totalling just over £500.00. The vehicle will come with a folder created by the previous owner and meticulously updated as and when any work was completed on the vehicle.
While with us here at Bridge Classic Cars, the vehicle was carefully inspected, and as part of our mechanical check over, we have replaced a rear shock absorber, ensuring this car can be instantly enjoyed by its lucky new owner and for many years to come.
