Selling my 1995 (M) Registration Jaguar XJS Celebration Convertible Automatic One Previous Owner to myself although She was first Registered by the Commissioning Garage Hadley Green
So there are Technically 3 entries in the Log Book or only 2 actual Owners including myself not counting Hadley Green
She is Finished in Morocco Red (which is a very deep Cherry) and as such looks suitably Expensive especially with her Perfect Creme Hide Leather Interior
The Color Coded Soft Top is also in Perfect Condition and looks like New, as do the Creme Hide Leather Seats that do not look as if they have ever been sat on (She is also a 2+2)
With no signs of any Scuffing on the Seat Bolsters or any signs of wear and tear, which is often a giveaway to a High Mileage Car and this Car has only covered 40,450 miles from New!
She is also fitted with the Later Bullet Proof AJ16 Engine mated to an Automatic Gearbox and only ever Serviced by the Main Dealer rather than so called ‘Experts’
So how come She’s a Barn Find?
Having purchased her from the Only Previous Owner in 1998 with a provable mileage of 40,000 Miles, I drove her for a Total of only 450 Miles! making a Total of only 40,450 Miles in all
As I felt my Celebration Car was much too nice to use, I put her away in my garage where apart from regular Start Ups just to keep her fresh, She hasn’t been on the road for 25 Years!
There is also no record of her ever having an MOT as nothing is shown about this on the GOV Website although She may have had just one MOT in her life (I can’t say for sure)
Now while we all know that you should use your Classic on a regular basis, one of the best things about this Car is 25 years of wear and tear, that She’s never had!
The Paintwork is about 9/10 and the Interior Leather is almost a 10/10 and so in some respects She looks like New as She has been off the road and unused for 25 Years!
Though Started every couple of months just to keep her fresh
If you know about your XJS’s this was the run out model being the last of the line and so comes fully loaded with every conceivable extra, except the CD Changer in the Boot
This unfortunately went on the Blink but as I wasn’t using the Car, I didn’t replace it although they are available to purchase and just plug in
No dings or dents or damage and has never been in any sort of accident but She does need a New Set of Tyres after 24 years
No Test Drive available as She has no MOT which I haven’t put on, just in case the New Owner wants to keep her just the way She is
Although as luck would have it, this Car is only 20 miles from Bridge Garage
That means if you wanted to then you could ask Bridge Garage to give her a pre-purchase inspection, in order to give you peace of mind before you make your purchase
And may also be the ideal place to give her an MOT
The Personal Number Plate is not included and will be taken off the Car prior to Sale
All the Photos that you see were only taken last year, to give you the best idea of her overall Condition
