Chassis 1003, this is a very rare car, the only one originally finished in Peony red, with Kelvin grey roof and Mushroom leather.

Some time in its life it was painted white.

Purchased in Holland by UK owners, the car seemed to need light restoration so was sent to Stef Schackman of Klassieker Service in Holland. As with all Jensen 541’s the chassis required an extensive rebuild so the car was stripped and worked commenced.

The car, as is today, is ready for re-assembly. The chassis has been completely rebuilt. The running gear has either been rebuilt or replaced with new. The original owner wanted to keep the body in white. We think the car, being rare, should be put back to the original colours of Peony red and Kelvin grey.

The dash has been complete refurbished and the car in total has all new wiring.

The engine and gearbox are as they were removed from the car and the UK owner, who drove the car prior to its strip down established that there is no work required, other than detailing.

This is a re-assembly project with a decision to be made over paint colours.

There are many boxes of refurbished and new parts, clearly labelled to assist in the re-assembly.

You could not restore this car, to this standard, at this stage for the money that it is being offered for today. Not taking into consideration the original purchase price of the car.

This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody to own a very valuable asset as these cars command a very high price when complete.

There are extensive history files of the car prior to restoration and during restoration.

The car has a current V5 and is registered with its original number plate from new.
